Lyra Flip is a lyrically-advanced emcee from Torrance, Los Angeles, CA.
He is a member of the crews "Public Axis" and "Swim Team."
He's known for ripping mics all over California, especially at the
infamous Project Blowed open mic in South Central, Los Angeles. A
master of the pen & the freestyle, Lyra Flip is also one of the
most feared battlers in the rap scene.

RCV tha MC has been in the Vancouver Hip-Hop scene for seven years now.
Over the years RCV has seen and experienced many things in his young life,
growing up in East Vancouver. "Man me and my best friend got jumped
by thirty dudes in an alley, I been arrested and spent a day in a cell,
had guns pointed in my face, dropped out of high school, and evicted ....."
RCV stands for Ryan Christian Ventura, his full name. So on the mic he is
no gimmick, only himself. Hungry, determined, and chrismatic,
he prides himself in bringing a high energy, and up tempo flow.
He is also the founder of independent label Rejected Arts.

MC. Producer. Promoter. The multi-talented Vancouver-based MC XYL
(pronounced ‘Exile’) began his journey into hip-hop at the age of ten, listening to
groups such as the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and Run DMC. His smooth-as-velvet
flow and spine-shaking beats prove that Canada has something big to offer to the
hip-hop world. XYL has also become active as a show promoter in Vancouver.
Each month he organizes and performs at 'Wordz From Tha Underground',
one of the most popular live hip hop events in the city. The next step?
An Asia-wide tour set for early 2008 with dates in China, Korea and Japan.

E.V. is a local East Vancouver hip-hop producer & artist,
currently studying political science at Simon Fraser University.
His company, a-slam music productions, specializes in music
production, recording, mixing, and mastering. A-slam is located on
the corner of Rupert & Kingsway in East Vancouver. In June 2007 a-slam
released their first mix tape entitled 'Now They're Talking'. The disc
features the hit single "For You" (produced by EV & freerapbeats.com),
which received first place in the 2006 International
Song writing Competition (hip-hop / r&b category).

Music has been the only thing keepin me sane all of these years. I've been
singing since in the womb & before then. Born in Seoul Korea and adopted by
my beautiful fam. here in Van.(Tsawwassen) I was always creating, dancing,
putting on shows when I was little. I wrote my first song at age 7 and recorded
my first track when I was 13. In high school you could find me writing rhymes,
making mixtapes, freestyling and having fun w/ my friends.I went to Columbia
Academy School of Music for Engineering and Production. I think it's important
to know all angles of what you do, so that you are aware of at least the
process and appreciate everyone's part in it!.

Based in Vancouver, Canada, no luck club (NLC) is an instrumental hip hop group
which combines turntable improvisation with sample-based rhythms. Founded
by the Chan Brothers (Matt & Trevor), no luck club’s beat-driven soundscapes
have been compared to the works of RJD2, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Kid Koala,
Coldcut and Handsome Boy Modeling School. The group started in 2000 when
their mix CD and demo, Newfangled Mo-ments, resulted in a recording contract
with Dan the Automator's 75Ark Re-cords. NLC’S debut album, Happiness, was
originally scheduled for an Au-gust 2001 release but unfortunately 75Ark imploded
that year. Fortunately, the project was rescued by Ill Boogie Records and a
revised version of Happiness was released in September 2003 to wide acclaim.
In late 2004, Vancouver DMC DJ champion, Paul Belen (Pluskratch) joined
the group to complement NLC’s infectious live show; a continuous,
instrumen-tal mix of music styles, tempos, and moods.


RAPPER WILLY

Will Tao a.k.a "Rapper Willy" has been honing his lyrical skills since the year 2002.
His music can be summed up into one word- truth. Through metaphoric verses,
catchy hooks, and melodic beats he has spread rap music and his message
of humanity, happiness, and understanding to hundreds of faithful fans. In the five years
that he has been in the game, he has released over thirty tracks. Unlike most rappers,
he has never been motivated by the money and separates his career from his hobby.
He has never recorded in a studio, and has instead found ways to duplicate
studio recorded sound from the premises of his own home laptop, and microphone.
However, this truly underground, "regular guy" appeal has helped him develop a strong
following among both friends and strangers alike. His main focus is to promote rap as a
positive force, and as a much needed voice in today's mainstream, simplified, pop culture.

Hep D MC, 23 year old emcee out of Seattle,
started at 13 and still rocking a decade later.

“b. dot” aka “brevner” grew up writing rhymes in New West to express what he

“t.pAk” aka “pakman” is a Korean born Canadian and with a love for ART,
he is out to make his dreams a reality. These guys are two Hip Hop Heads

GS, a Chinese Canadian from Vancouver, brings a bird’s eye view to hip-hop,
seeing the game on a different level. With a diverse arsenal of flow and content,
and a fly swagger, GS touches on everything relevant in the rap environment.
From a place that is unknown for hip-hop, GS is the young blood chosen to put
the city on the map. His depth and the vision, just like his flow, is ahead of his time.
In 2004, GS began writing rhymes and continued learning about the different
aspects of rap. Now in 2007, fresh off his recently released Full Effect official mixtape,
GS is ready to adapt and transform the structure of hip-hop with his SoundShift team.
