KATO

Originally hailing from Northern Virginia,
KATO is now making noise
in the respected Atlanta underground scene with his clever rhymes
and self-produced beats. With a name that strikes awe in memories
from a certain 1960's television show (do your homework!), KATO is doing

of a Pentecostal preacher, and daughter of a hustler, began her career at the
age of 13
cyphering in the halls of Westchester High School. By age 15, record labels
such
as Interscope were trying to sign her. However, being raised in a family that
valued
education more than fame, she finished high school and went on to obtain a bachelor's
degree by the age of 20. Though school was important she never stopped recording
or
performing. Madam Brown has been rhyming for ten years and is definitely one
of the
dopest female MCs coming from the West Coast so be on the look out!

AmDex and DT both have strong roots in North Carolina, and DT has no qualms
shedding light
on his small-town upbringing. The road eventually lead DT to Morehouse College
in Atlanta, where he
would not only learn the particulars of the Black bourgeoisie and murder just
about everyone on the
battle circuit, but run into his future crew-mates, AmDex and Felix of The VJC.
AmDex paints a mirroring
image of his neighboring hometown of Raleigh. Clan Destined (or, Clan D for
short) is a funk-fest of rolling,
rumbling, revolving, relentlessly soulful beats with an electronic sensibility.

led her to plummet
herself into her studies, and Ms. Le was awarded the prestigious Foundation
Fellowship at the University
of Georgia, which allowed her to be the first in her family to graduate college.
Ms. Le is assistant to the
editor at The Cortland Review, the nation's premier online poetry journal, is

sound
to a myriad of influences -- from her piano upbringing to a diverse listening

to angst-ridden
alternative pop/rock material, Janie became fascinated with folk influences
